A little preparation before delivery day ensures a smooth drop and protects your property. Follow these steps to get ready for your dumpster.
Before Delivery Day
Clear the Delivery Area
Remove vehicles, toys, outdoor furniture, and any obstacles from the delivery area. Our trucks need at least 10 feet of clearance width.
Check for Overhead Obstacles
Look for low-hanging tree branches, power lines, or other overhead obstacles that could interfere with delivery.
Identify Underground Utilities
Mark or note the location of sprinkler heads, utility lines, or other underground features that could be damaged.
Ensure Access
Make sure the delivery truck can access your property. Check gates, driveways, and any height restrictions.
Communicate Special Instructions
If you have specific placement preferences or access concerns, let us know when you order or call ahead.
Placement Considerations
Where you place your dumpster matters for both convenience and safety:
✓ Good Placement
- • Level, solid ground
- • Close to your work area
- • Easy access for loading
- • Away from structures
- • Clear of traffic areas
✗ Avoid
- • Soft or muddy ground
- • Slopes or hills
- • Under power lines
- • Blocking driveways
- • Near property lines
Driveway Protection
Every Red-E-Bins delivery includes composite protection boards that keep our bins off your concrete or pavers. Our boards are cleaned and inspected between every drop to ensure they won't damage your driveway.
No need to provide your own protection—we've got you covered!
On Delivery Day
Our driver will:
- Call or text when they're on the way
- Place protection boards before setting the bin
- Walk the site with you to confirm placement
- Ensure gates and access points are secure
